Building an App that just spews out information with no thought of how to present it, does not create great apps.  It may create adequate apps or even ok apps, but never a great App.  Here are my thoughts on what goes into a great UI.

After discovering all the things I did wrong with FusionWare Swim Tracker and then figuring out what I needed to do to fix them, I went about making the necessary changes.

So, how did we do it?  This blog will be a little more “Code” intensive that most I write but I’ll try to keep it somewhat light.

Swim Tracker was my 2nd App and I published it and it passed certification on the first pass.  That is where this story actually starts.  It was kinda useless.  No scratch that, it was definitely useless.  I mean it did what I intended but it fell down in some major ways. In this blog I walk through the process of "fixing it", aka "Making it Useful"!

After deciding to create a game for Windows Phone, I needed to come up with a way to make it “different”.  Lunar Landers have been done to death.  There were at least 6 “lander” games in the Windows Phone Marketplace and countless numbers for other platforms.

I decided that my next App for Windows Phone should be a game.

Well, it’s been more than a month and a half since I began using a Windows Phone as my primary phone and it seems like a good time to cover Bing!

Yesterday I received notification that my third Windows Phone App passed certification and was published to the Windows Phone Marketplace.  That’s just three days after I Submitted the app.

Two weeks into my cold turkey Windows Phone 7 evaluation and I have to admit that most things that were somewhat annoying in those first few days are really not all that annoying.
